Qualifications

Louise Ravenscroft LLM, LLB (hons) BA (hist) (hons)

Louise  is a highly experienced academic lawyer, educator, and judicial office holder with a  past career in corporate project management, charity, and auditing.  Her qualifications include an LLM  (1995)  and LLB (hons)  (1993)  in law (University of Birmingham), a BA (Hons) in History (First Class) (2012) (Open University),  and  partially completed LPC  (First Stage - Upper distinction).  She currently voluteers as  Family Court Magistrate,  and has been Trustee & Treasurer for BIBIC charity. She is a part time  Associate Lecturer  in law at Open University,(2016 - current) and is a  Senior Examiner for OCR (2011- current). However, her main role is as a private tutor which she has been doing since 2013 after she had been teaching in an independent school for 3 years.  Her  past career included  project management at Sainsbury's,  and Oxfam  and as an auditor at PWC.  Louise  has extensive experience as a private tutor, providing both GCSE, A-level and undergraduate  and post graduate tutoring.  This tutoring has been entirely online for the past six years.  Her experience in delivering complex information in an accessible and empathetic way to both children and adults, whether face-to-face or online, highlights her adaptability and effectiveness as an educator.

William Ravenscroft

William is currently in his fourth semester at Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas. He obtained a Mackenzie Scholarship (as a British International student)  for academic excellence and is currently majoring in English with Philosophy. His average GPA score is between 3.4-3.6 (equivalent to 2:1 /First) He obtained a BTEC D*D*D (equivalent to A*A*A) in music and managed an AS in history alongside his full time studies. He was homeschooled during his GCSEs and although he has dyslexia and ADHD, he managed a 9 in English, and a 7 in history.  William is a member of  Kappa Sigma fraternity (the oldest fraternity in the US) and the University jazz band. His ability to overcome the challenges of his learning difficulties and excel in complex content heavy  academic subjects makes him the perfect study buddy for students who are struggling with understanding English and history content.
